The broadcast signal receiving device receives a program delivered by means of a broadcast signal, is connected to one or more servers via a network, and comprises: a program attribute obtaining section, obtaining the program and the attribute information of a first advertisement inserted in a broadcast period of the program, i.e., first attribute information; a replacing advertisement obtaining section, obtaining and saving, from the one or more servers, a second advertisement that replaces the first advertisement for display and is used as a candidate, and obtaining the stored attribute information of the second advertisement, i.e., second attribute information; and a determining section, using the first attribute information and the second attribute information to perform a determination whether to exclude the second advertisement from replacement candidates.
