The invention relates to a method for managing resources of a mobile radio and fixed access convergent telecommunications network, at least some of the resources being implemented in remote and virtualized form in the network, optical resources of the network being allocated between at least one optical router and a plurality of optical modems of the network. According to such a method, a module (110) for the centralized management of the mobile radio resources of the network performs the following: receiving (E210) a performance indicator from the mobile radio portion of the network, transmitted by at least one base station (lOOdu) of the network connected to one of the optical modems and/or by a module (100vran) for virtualized radio functions that are remote in the network; estimating (E211) requirements of the mobile radio portion of the network in terms of optical resources based on the performance indicator from the mobile radio portion, delivering information representative of the requirements in terms of optical resources; and transmitting (E212) the information representative of the requirements in terms of optical resources to a module (120) for the centralized management of the optical and fixed access resources of the network in order to manage the optical resources of the network.
