Disclosed in the present invention is an anti-obesity composition using a Spiraea prunifolia extract having effects of inhibiting the differentiation of mouse preadipocyte cells 3T3-L1 into adipocytes in a concentration-dependent manner, significantly inhibiting weight gain even in obesity animal models, significantly reducing fat amounts in visceral fat and subcutaneous fat and reducing the accumulation of liver fat, subcutaneous fat, epididymal fat, and subperitoneal fat, and reducing triglycerides in the blood.
