A tri-folded electric umbrella that has a double-folded middle rod, comprising an umbrella skeleton (1), a middle rod (2), an umbrella head (3), and an umbrella opening and retracting control mechanism; the middle rod (2) comprises an outer tube (21) and an inner tube (22), a top end of the outer tube (21) is provided with an upper nest (4), and a lower nest (5) is slidingly disposed on the outer tube (21); the umbrella skeleton (1) is cooperatively connected to the upper nest (4) and the lower nest (5); a top part of the inner tube (22) is connected to an inner tube stopper (221), and a bottom part of the inner tube (22) is connected to the umbrella head (3); the upper nest (4) is internally provided with an upper nest pulley base (41); the lower nest (5) is internally provided with a lower nest slider (51) which is fixedly provided thereon with a lower nest puller base (52), and a lower nest slider spring (53) is arranged above the lower nest slider (51); a bottom end of the lower nest slider spring (53) is connected to the lower nest slider (51), and a top end of the lower nest slider spring (53) is connected to the lower nest (5); and the umbrella opening and retracting control mechanism comprises a push apparatus (6), a pull apparatus (7) and a drive apparatus (8). The described umbrella has a simple structure, is convenient to operate, is easy to carry and has strong applicability; when open, the rib strength of the umbrella is great, and the volume of the umbrella ribs is small when retracted.
