The purpose of this invention is to provide light measurement technology that makes it possible to quantitatively measure the size distribution of particles exhibiting Brownian motion within a sample. A size distribution measurement device according to this invention measures the intensity of reflected light while scanning a focus position along the optical axis direction of measurement light and calculates a particle size distribution according to the largest measured reflected light intensity (see fig. 9).
