The present invention relates to a solid oxide fuel cell, and an operation method therefor and, more specifically, to a solid oxide fuel cell capable of performing electricity generation together with synthetic gas production, a manufacturing method therefor, and an operation condition. The present invention provides a solid oxide fuel cell comprising: a cathode channel through which air and a fuel flow; a cathode layer in which an electrochemical reduction reaction of oxygen and a combustion reaction of a fossil fuel occur; an electrolyte layer between the cathode layer and an anode layer; the anode layer in which an electrochemical oxidation reaction of an oxygen ion and a fossil fuel, and a catalytic reforming reaction of reacting CO2 and steam, generated therein, with an excessively supplied fossil fuel, so as to convert same into CO and H2, simultaneously occur; and an anode channel through which a fuel, in an excessive amount greater than or equal to an equivalence ratio necessary in electricity generation therefor, flows. The solid oxide fuel cell, according to the present invention, performs electricity generation together with synthetic gas production, and remarkably reduces CO2 generation.
