A method for analyzing a cell image by using an artificial neural network comprises the steps of: receiving, by an image processing device, an input of a transmission microscopic image; identifying, by the image processing device, a cell area from a transmission microscope by using a first learning network for recognizing an object; determining, by the image processing device, the state of a cell located in the cell area, by using a second learning network; and generating, by using a characteristic image generation network, from the determination by the second learning network, an image which depicts the basis of the determination. The second learning network is a model that was learned in advance, with respect to a cell object in the transmission microscopic image, and the state of the cell object.
