A driving proficiency evaluation method, comprising: acquiring driving trajectory data of a target user, and determining, according to the driving trajectory data, each driving road section for the target user and a road section length value of each driving road section; analyzing, according to the driving trajectory data, the current number of times of occurrence of each type of target driving behavior, in each driving road section, of the target user, and acquiring the average number of times of occurrence of each type of target driving behavior in each driving road section; determining, according to each of the current number of times of occurrence and each of the average number of times of occurrence, a driving score sub-value of each driving road section for the target user; and determining, according to each driving score sub-value and each road section length value, a driving score value for the target user, and evaluating the driving proficiency of the target user according to the driving score value.
