A virtual optical network-oriented spectrum resource trading method and system. Said method comprises: establishing virtual optical networks according to a preset topology structure, and then in different time slots, on the basis of information about capacity requirements of virtual links of virtual networks and the accumulated credit values and preset credit thresholds of the virtual optical networks, controlling virtual links between the virtual optical networks to trade for spectrum resources of a common physical link, so as to realize spectrum resource trading between the virtual optical networks according to real-time capacity requirements. According to the present application, a virtual link having an idle spectrum resource is able to provide a spectrum resource for a virtual link having an insufficient capacity, and by means of spectrum trading, a virtual optical network having an insufficient spectrum is able to use an idle spectrum of another virtual optical network to transmit undeployed service flows, thereby effectively improving the network spectrum resource utilization rate of virtual optical networks, reducing a service congestion rate of virtual optical networks; in addition, setting an accumulated credit value can ensure the fairness of spectrum resource trading between virtual optical networks.
