The present invention relates to an attention training method and a system employing coordinated breathing and haptic control, combining the characteristics of meditation, in which a user focuses on their breathing, and a haptic sensing channel, in which a user focuses on muscle force control. Visual detection of an attention state during a training process is achieved by means of a synchronization error between a breathing signal and a haptic sensing signal. The training method comprises four types of sub-tasks. The four sub-tasks have progressively increasing training difficulties, and can be used for training independently or consecutively in a progressive manner. Also included is an attention training system for implementing the attention training method. Attention training is achieved by the consecutive coordinated breathing and haptic control tasks, and an attention focus state during training is reflected by a synchronization error between the breathing signal and a muscle force output signal. If the calculated synchronization error exceeds a given threshold, the system generates an alarm representing a low attention level. In addition, the design of progressive sub-tasks in stages motivates users to engage positively with and devote attention to the training, thereby improving attention regulation capabilities of a target group.
