This allowable value setting device sets an allowable value for a deviation amount between a target suction position and an actual suction position of a component when suctioning the component with a suction nozzle. The allowable value setting device is provided with a first setting unit and a second setting unit. The first setting unit sets a first allowable value that is an allowable value for each type of component among components to be mounted to a substrate.The second setting unit sets a second allowable value that is an allowable value which is set for each mounting coordinate of the component, is smaller than the first allowable value of the same type of component set by the first setting unit, and is used preferentially to the first allowable value in suction processing the component.
