摘要
As video goes to higher levels of definition, the rate at which video data needs to be processed increases. To be able to process video data more rapidly, a video source can use parallel processing, where pixels are grouped into sets of N pixels for N processing pipelines. The video data may include designated sections that require special treatment. For example, when supporting High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) in an HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) signal, the blanking intervals of a frame of video data may have a specified range of pixels designated as non-compressible for subsequent Repeat Count (RC) encoding. To avoid a set of pixels grouped together for parallel processing including pixels both within and outside of the designated portion, the video source can augment the designated portion with a number of preceding and/or following adjacent pixels.
