A nano silver particle/cellulosic fiber composite material and a preparation method. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: (1) pretreatment of a cellulose fiber: dispersing the cellulose fiber in an aqueous ammonia solution and stirring same for pretreatment, and then controlling a fiber concentration in a pretreated mixture to be 5-20 wt%; (2) hydrothermal synthesis of a nano silver particle by using the cellulose fiber: mixing the pretreated mixture and a silver ion, performing a hydrothermal reaction, and then washing and drying to obtain a nano-silver-particle-loaded cellulose fiber. A biodegradable cellulose fiber is selected as a reducing agent and a carrier; the nano silver particle is reduced out under a hydrothermal condition; the condition is simple, the costs are low; the composite material is green and free of pollution; the obtained nano-silver-particle-loaded cellulose fiber has an excellent property of the cellulose fiber and nano silver; the cellulose fiber is functionalized; and the composite material can be applied to the fields such as catalysis and bacterial resistance.
