The invention relates to an energy chain (1) comprising two link plate strands (1A, 1B) composed of successive chain link plates (2) which partially overlap one another in each case in overlap regions (2B). Every second chain link plate (2) is assigned in each case one side part (3) composed of plastic. The chain link plates (2) are produced from a different material than the side parts (3) and have apertures (21; 22) in the overlap regions (2B) thereof. Every side part has, in the two end regions (3A, 3B) thereof, multiple projections (31; 32) which engage in each case through the overlapping apertures (21; 22) of the associated chain link plate (2) and of the respectively adjacent chain link plate (2) in order to limit the relative pivot angle of successive chain link plates and/or in order to connect said successive chain link plates. Furthermore, a two-part separating web for an energy chain is proposed, wherein the first part (807) comprises at least one securing pin (810) and the second part comprises at least one securing receptacle (812), such that the two parts (807) are connectable and detachable in a direction perpendicular to a main plane of the separating web.
