A vascular endoscope device (1) is provided with: a long endoscope body (5) inserted in a blood vessel; a signal detection unit (8, 9) for detecting a signal propagated through a path which includes both end surfaces on an upstream side and a downstream side of a lesion in the blood vessel, the signal detection unit (8, 9) being provided in the endoscope body (5); and a signal processing unit (10) for generating information relating to the positions of both end surfaces of the lesion, on the basis of the signal detected by the signal detection unit (8, 9).
