The invention relates to a geopolymer binder based on aluminosilicate material comprising at least 20% by mass of charged TOT clay having an amorphous phase content of at least 20% by mass, and an alkaline silicate solution having a molar M₂ O/Si O₂ (M = Na or K) ratio within the range from about 0.45 to about 0.8, said binder having a mass liquid/solid ratio within the range from about 0.4 to about 1.0.
