[Problem] To obtain a polyolefin-based resin foam particle molded body having excellent external appearance, wherein color unevenness has been further suppressed. [Solution] The polyolefin-based resin foam particles are foam particles formed by foaming polyolefin-based resin particles containing one or more metal borates selected from zinc borate and magnesium borate, wherein the arithmetic mean particle diameter based on the number of metal borate particles is 1 μm or larger, and the proportion of the number of metal borate particles of 5 μm or more in particle diameter is 20% or less. In addition, the production method for polyolefin-based resin foam particles is a method wherein foamable polyolefin-based resin particles containing a physical foaming agent and one or more metal borates selected from zinc borate and magnesium borate are released from a sealed container, in which the particles were dispersed in an aqueous medium, along with the aqueous medium, to a region of a lower pressure than the interior of the sealed container, thereby causing each of the foamable polyolefin-based resin particles to produce a foam particle, the method using as the metal borate, a metal borate whereof the arithmetic mean particle diameter based on the number thereof is 1 μm or larger, and the proportion of the number of particles of 5 μm or larger in particle diameter is 20% or less.
