The present invention relates to a technology of a server device for controlling an air purifying control device on the basis of air quality in an arrangement space, and a method for controlling same. The server device for controlling an air purifying control device on the basis of air quality in an arrangement space, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a sensing information collection unit which collects, from a plurality of sensing devices, first sensing information sensing the air condition; an air prediction unit for each device which diagnoses, on the basis of the first sensing information, the indoor air condition of a space in which an air purifying control device is arranged; a control unit which controls the air prediction unit for each device and the sensing information collection unit, and generates first function control information controlling the operation of the air purifying control device; and a communication unit which transmits the first function control information to the air purifying control device.
