MULTIMEDIA CUSTOMIZED RINGING SIGNAL AND COLOR RING BACK TONE PLAYBACK METHOD, AND APPLICATION SERVER

A multimedia customized ringing signal and color ring back tone playback method, and an application server. The method comprises: the application server receives an initial calling request from a calling terminal, and sends the initial calling request to a called terminal; receive a temporary response for the initial calling request from the called terminal; determine early customized ringing signal media information according to the temporary response; send a first update media session message carrying the early customized ringing signal media information to the called terminal; receive a first response from the called terminal; and play a multimedia customized ringing signal according to the first response; wherein the initial calling request comprises SDP information of the calling terminal, and the first response comprises a customized ringing signal media negotiation result between the application server and the called terminal. In this way, a negotiation of a customized ringing signal media between the application server and the called terminal and a call media negotiation prepared by the calling terminal and the called terminal are in one session, thereby facilitating to save a network resource, and implementing that the application server manages and controls a customized ringing signal service in real time.
