The invention relates to a thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a styrene block copolymer (SBC), a polyolefin or copolyester-based thermoplastic elastomer and uncoated hollow glass spheres, the polyolefin or thermoplastic elastomer being functionalized by a grafting reaction with a vinylalkoxysilane, a vinyl acyloxysilane, a methacryloxyalkylalkoxysilane or a methacryloxyalkyl acyloxysilane or with an anhydride of an unsaturated organic acid. The invention also relates to a method for producing a thermoplastic elastomer using the thermoplastic elastomer composition, and the thermoplastic elastomer obtained thereby. Furthermore, the invention also relates to various uses of the thermoplastic elastomer, where a thermoplastic elastomer having low density and nevertheless good mechanical properties is required.
