NON-SURGICAL SYSTEM FOR THE RETRACTION OF A PATIENT'S EYELID TISSUE, THAT CAN BE COUPLED TO ANY LASER GENERATOR

The invention relates to a non-surgical system for the retraction of a patient's eyelid tissue in order to achieve the tightening of the tissue, but without causing ablation, designed to be coupled to any laser-generating equipment available in the market, and where the laser generator sends a laser beam continuously to a handpiece. The invention also relates to this handpiece. The system is characterised in that it comprises a handpiece which is attachable to a laser generator that operates in a power range between 0.1 and 10 W, with treatment times of between 0.1 and 5 sec., and with one or more lenses which focus or collimate the laser beam in a small spot with a diameter of between 0.5 and 5 mm. The system further comprises a timed pedal assembly, with an electronic control unit linked to a timed pedal, to compensate for the delay time (dt) of the mechanical shutter and to add this to the programmed time of emission on the skin (ts); and it further includes a timer module to enable the required laser beam pulse times of between 0.1 and 5 sec.
