A pillow-shaped body temperature regulation device (1) that supports a head and neck section of a user and comprises: a human body detection unit (11) that detects the presence of the user; a temperature measurement unit (12) that measures the deep body temperature of the user; a temperature adjustment unit (13) that causes the deep body temperature of the user to change; and a control unit (15) that, if the presence of the user is detected by the human body detection unit (11), controls the temperature adjustment unit (13) on the basis of the measurement results from the temperature measurement unit (12) so as to lower the core body temperature before the user falls asleep.
