This disclosure relates to methods of treating or preventing cancer and pharmaceutical compositions related thereto. In certain embodiments, this disclosure relates to methods of treating cancer comprising administering an effective amount of an androgen deprivation therapy in combination with a JNK pathway inhibitor to a subject in need thereof. In certain embodiments, androgen receptor antagonist is enzalutamide. In certain embodiments, the JNK pathway inhibitor is bentamapimod. In certain embodiments, the cancer is prostate cancer.
