A frequency-splitting, converging, and frequency-changing solar cell for dividing sunlight into several light strips according to frequencies, then converging light beams into small light spots by means of a converging lens or a converging mirror, and irradiating the light spots of light rays having different frequencies onto PN electrodes of semiconductor solar cells having different band gaps, thereby achieving high-efficiency power generation. For the light spot having a long wavelength, the energy of the light ray of the light spot cannot enable the solar cell to generate power; the light ray is frequency-doubled by means of a frequency doubling crystal, and is then irradiated onto the PN electrode of the semiconductor solar cell, so that light rays that cannot generate power, such as infrared rays and red light rays, can also enable the semiconductor solar cell to generate power. A unit above is used as a small unit and a matrix is formed by multiple small units, and thus, a large-area solar cell can be achieved. The present invention has the advantages of: (1) converging solar energy and not requiring semiconductor solar cells for all the area, thereby greatly reducing the costs; and (2) frequency doubling long-wavelength light rays that cannot currently generate power to achieve power generation of solar cells.
