Disclosed are a large ultra-high-pressure thermoplastic polymer foam-forming device and a method therefor. The device comprises a super-critical fluid conveying system, a pre-heating system, a quick high-pressure mold-locking device, a temperature control device, a pressure control device, a pressure release device, a quick high-pressure mold-closing device, a foamed product and a polymer, wherein the super-critical fluid conveying system is connected to the quick high-pressure mold-locking device, the temperature control device and the pressure control device. The device is a foaming apparatus capable of providing quick high-pressure mold closing, and carries out one-step polymer foam-forming, without requiring high-pressure water vapor to heat and mold; and the mold closing speed is 0.5-30 meters/second, and the mold closing pressure is 50-30000 tons. The device can produce a foamed product made of a polymer material with a melting point temperature of up to 50°C-350°C, and realize mold-pressure-controllable foaming production of various large polymer materials. The large ultra-high-pressure thermoplastic polymer foam-forming device and the method therefor of the present invention are economical and practical, and have the advantages of having a fast mold closing speed and a large mold closing pressure, such that a high production rate may be achieved and automated production is easily realized.
