The present application relates to the field of data processing, and provides a point cloud encoding method, a point cloud decoding method, apparatuses, and a storage medium. The method comprises: firstly, obtaining auxiliary information of a patch to be encoded and a first identifier of said patch. Because the number of first-type patches in a current point cloud group may be the same in each point cloud frame, if the first identifier is a first value, and said patch is a first patch in a current point cloud frame, the auxiliary information and the first identifier of said patch may be encoded into a code stream. If the first identifier is the first value, and said patch is not the first patch in the current point cloud frame, the auxiliary information of said patch may be encoded into the code stream, and the first identifier of said patch is not required to be encoded into the code stream, thereby simplifying the format of being encoded into the code stream, reducing bit overheads of the code stream, and improving the encoding efficiency.
