A combined method for the online monitoring and source analysis of atmospheric heavy metal particles, which relates to the technical field of the online quantification and source tracing of atmospheric heavy metal particles. An aerosol mass spectrometer is combined with an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer for use. At the same time, from a qualitative and quantitative perspective, the content, temporal change trend, chemical composition, mixing state and so on of atmospheric heavy metal particles at a point position to be measured are quickly analyzed, and a heavy metal particle mass concentration limit system is incorporated into the X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. Once the mass concentration of heavy metal particles exceeds a standard, the aerosol mass spectrometer may immediately receive information of the heavy metal exceeding the standard by means of an information transmission system. Once a signal that the heavy metal exceeds the standard is received, the aerosol mass spectrometer immediately starts up an online source tracing system that may more quickly and more effortlessly analyze the source of the heavy metal exceeding the standard in the atmosphere at the point position to be measured, which has important significance and good industrial application prospects.
