Graded porous scaffolds as immunomodulatory wound patches

The present invention provides a porous biomimetic scaffold and a method of making the same. The scaffold has a graded pore size for enhanced cell penetration. Scaffolds are useful for wound regeneration by facilitating cell penetration into the scaffold and because of its inherent immunomodulatory effects. Scaffolds have tissue modeling specifications by mimicking the unique hierarchy of a particular tissue.
