UV MULTI-COLORED DIELECTRIC COATING AND UV INKJET PRINTING

The present invention relates to a multi-colored insulating coating and a UV inket printing. The multi-colored insulating coating is formed using an interlayer of insulating materials having alternating refractive index, thereby creating reflection at the selected wavelength so that the multi-colored insulating coating looks different in color. Etching of a layer selected at the selected location changes the color representation of the etched location, thereby resulting in coating having a plurality of colors. The thickness of the layer is chosen such that the path length difference for the reflection from other high index layers is an integer multiple of the wavelength at which the coating is designed. An inkjet printer is used to print designs, and the designs are cured using ultraviolet light.
