Provided is a method for purifying a toxic substance-containing liquid capable of efficiently purifying the toxic substance-containing liquid by using dissolved ozone, which is a highly safe oxidizing agent, and providing a purifying treatment apparatus for a toxic substance-containing liquid for carrying out the same. Dissolved ozone is added to and mixed with the hazardous substance-containing liquid containing the hazardous substance, and then the liquid is contacted with a transition metal-containing oxide adsorbing ozone having a BET specific surface area of 80 m 2 / g or more and adsorbing the hazardous substance. A method for purifying a toxic substance-containing liquid which oxidizes the toxic substance by dissolving ozone, thereby oxidatively decomposing the toxic substance, and a toxic substance-containing liquid for treating the same.
