The present invention relates to a method for inspecting consistency in engineering data of a 3D CAD model for plant engineering, which uses an atypical-data mining technique and an automatic 3D CAD model database search technique to systemically confirm whether various kinds of data and information (hereinafter, referred to as engineering data) included in a data sheet and a vendor print received in a plant engineering step by an engineering plant company (EPC) are correctly reflected to design. According to the present invention, the method comprises: a step (a) of collecting and classifying vendor drawings presented in a file form by an equipment maker or an equipment vendor; a step (b) of analyzing and extracting data from the collected and classified vendor drawings using a data mining technique; a step (c) of searching for 3D CAD modeling data matched with extracted target data, and mapping the searched 3D CAD model data to the extracted target data; a step (d) of inspecting consistency between the mapped 3D CAD model data and the extracted target data; and a step (e) of reporting a result of inspection and modifying the 3D CAD model data or providing or transmitting the result to a user when consistency inspection is completed.
