Concepts and techniques for providing an interactive slide presentation in the reading mode of a presentation application program along with the accompanying notes are described herein. According to the concepts and techniques described herein, a computer implemented method includes a computer implemented operation that provides a read mode user interface that includes a presentation object that includes a slide placeholder and a note placeholder. The method may also include displaying the slide content in a slide placeholder of the read mode user interface. The method may also include moving the presentation object out of the view and moving the new presentation object into the view in response to the input. The method may also include scaling a new presentation object.
