In order to solve problems caused by harmful gases being leaked in the air or being artificially sprayed, provided is a sensor which is operated in an IR band, which is a gas absorption spectrum band, a unique feature of gas, in order to film a scene in which gas exists or gas is expected to exist, thereby specifying the type of the gas in a convenient and precise manner. To this end, provided is an IR hyperspectral imaging device for gas analysis, which comprises: a scene scan unit which scans a scene by dividing the scene to be captured into predetermined portions in order to capture partial images; a wavelength disintegration unit which disintegrates the wavelength of the partial images constituting a scene image in order to output a wavelength disintegration image for each partial image in which the wavelength is disintegrated; an image processing unit which processes the image to satisfy a required condition of the wavelength disintegration unit before sending the scene image to the wavelength disintegration image; an imaging unit which focuses on the wavelength disintegration image which is outputted from the wavelength disintegration unit; an image sensor which exposes the focused wavelength disintegration image to light in order to convert the same into image data; and an image analysis unit which receives the image data outputted from the image sensor to recognize a gas absorption spectrum from the scene image, and specifies the type of the gas existing in the scene from the spectrum.
