USER SELECTION OF ROBOTIC SYSTEM OPERATING MODES USING MODE DISTINGUISHING OPERATOR ACTIONS

The robotic system of the present invention has a plurality of user selectable modes of operation. To select one of the modes of operation, the user performs a distinctive action of identifying in a unique manner the desired mode of operation among the plurality of user selectable modes of operation. The method performed by the processor of the robotic system identifies the distinctive action and places the robotic system in a user-selected mode of operation.
