Disclosed are a method for managing a common shopping basket in a network and a management server used therein. A management server receives a common shopping basket generation request from a first user terminal, generates a common shopping basket in accordance with the common shopping basket generation request, receives a usage request for the common shopping basket from a second user terminal, and determines the usage authority for the common shopping basket of a second user. According to the present invention, as shipping costs of goods are significantly reduced through the use of the common shipping basket, electronic commerce is activated and the increase of sales of online shopping malls can be promoted.
