Systems and Methods for the Production of Beer / Hard Cider Concentrates

Systems and methods are provided for preparing beverage concentrates (eg, beer extracts). Forward osmosis (FO) filtration technology removes pure water from conventional brewed beer. Thus, beer extracts can be prepared without distillation or other alteration steps that can negatively affect the flavor and aroma components of the beer. Induction solution is used to provide differential osmotic pressure through a FO filtration device. The diluted draw solution is recycled by reverse osmosis, distillation and combinations thereof.
