The present invention relates to a system and a method for analyzing a floating population in a commercial area. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the system for analyzing the floating population in the commercial area comprises: a sensor unit provided for each of a plurality of stores in a commercial area to receive a probe request signal from a user terminal; a determination unit collecting the probe request signal from the sensor unit for each of the stores to determine movements within the commercial area of the user terminal; and a calculation unit calculating floating population information in the commercial area based on the movements within the commercial area for each user terminal. The calculation unit can calculate the visitor information and the roamer information for each store based on a reception cumulative time of the probe request signal received from the sensor unit.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
