The present invention relates to an award case using Korean paper having lozenge patterns expressed thereon, and a method of manufacturing the same. The method of manufacturing an award case using Korean paper having lozenge patterns expressed thereon comprises: a lozenge patterned woodblock preparing step; a Korean paper surface coating step of forming a coating layer by coating a surface of Korean paper with any one of beeswax, paraffin, and candles, so that patterns formed on an upper surface of a lozenge patterned woodblock are well printed on the Korean paper; a lozenge patterned woodblock pattern printing step of placing the Korean paper completing the Korean paper surface coating step on the lozenge patterned woodblock and rubbing the Korean paper so that the patterns expressed on the lozenge patterned woodblock can be printed and expressed on the coating layer of the Korean paper; a step of preparing two sheets of laminated paper having the thickness of 2 mm or more; a laminated paper bonding step of attaching the Korean paper having the patterns printed in the lozenge patterned woodblock pattern printing step to one surface of the two sheets of laminated paper, and bonding the two sheets of laminated paper to each other; an inner sheet attaching step of attaching the Korean paper having the patterns printed in the lozenge patterned woodblock pattern printing step to the other surface of the bonded laminated paper; a smoothing step of smoothening a selected region of the Korean paper (20) obtained in the lozenge patterned woodblock pattern printing step; and a surface treating step of printing characters, patterns, etc. by using gold foil, or stamping the characters, patterns, etc. on the region smoothened in the smoothing step. According to the present invention, being evolved from a conventional method in which cloth or leather, a synthetic resin material, etc. is used for an outer skin and an inner skin of a conventional award case, the present invention is provided by applying Korean paper which can invoke cultural sensations of a Korean traditional artifact, wherein patterns and shapes usually expressed on a cover of an antique book can be expressed on a surface of the Korean paper by using a lozenge patterned woodblock which is a traditional method and thus, it is possible to provide a high quality award case.
