The present invention provides a method for manufacturing flame retardant fabric comprising: (a) a preparing step of preparing poly fabric woven by using polyester fabric without containing a (P)-based compound; (b) a washing step of washing the poly fabric by adding a chitosan solution to primarily remove oily components contained in the polyester fabric; and (c) a rinsing step of rinsing the poly fabric. According to the present invention, fabric having eco-friendly properties and excellent flame retardancy can be provided.
