Object recognition device electronic device including the same and method of recognizing an object

An object recognition device includes an artificial neural network (NN) engine, a non-volatile memory device and an error correction code (ECC). The NN engine is configured to receive learning data and weights, make an object recognition model (ORM) learn by using a part selected among the learning data and weights, and provide a part of the weights to selected weight data. The non-volatile memory device stores the learned ORM therein. The ECC engine is further configured to perform ECC encoding on the selected weight data to generate parity data, provide the selected weight data and the parity data to the non-volatile memory device, and provide the selected weight data to the artificial NN engine by performing ECC decoding on the selected weight data by using the parity data. The artificial NN engine receives a feature vector extracted from object data constituting an object and applies the feature vector and the selected weight data to the learned ORM to provide a recognition result of the object. Therefore, the present invention can efficiently process artificial intelligence data.
