PUBLIC KEY INFRASTRUCTURE BASED SERVICE AUTHENTICATION METHOD AND SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a method which allow a currently used user terminal to be connected to a proper service server to check whether user authentication is started and a system thereof. More specifically, the present invention provides a method which allows a service server to generate a service authentication value to present the service authentication value to a user terminal when inputting a user ID into the service server for user authentication after service connection of the user terminal and then encode the service authentication value or a related value capable of generating an authentication value with a public key infrastructure (PKI)-based key to transfer an encoded value to an authentication terminal. Afterwards, the service authentication method and the system thereof verify the corresponding value with a PKI key previously stored in the authentication terminal to decode a value transmitted from a service to generate a service checking value based on a service checking value or a related value to display the service checking value to a user to allow the user to personally check visually whether the user terminal is connected to a proper service server.
