The present specification discloses a flame retardant epoxy composite material, which is a flame retardant epoxy composite material comprising an epoxy resin, a nanocarbon structure, and a curing agent, wherein the nanocarbon structure is coated with a tannic acid (TA). Also, the present specification discloses a method for manufacturing the flame retardant epoxy composite material which comprises a step of coating the carbon structure with the tannic acid (TA), and reducing the same; a step of mixing the coated nanocarbon structure, a curing agent, and an epoxy resin to form an epoxy solution; and a step of curing the epoxy solution. According to the present invention, structural defects of the nanocarbon structure can be overcome and conductivity can be improved.
