The present invention relates to a condition application type CVVD location learning method applied to a CVVD system (1), wherein, when location learning with respect to a valve is required in a short duration and a long duration, system environment condition effectiveness with respect to a CVVD hardware and vehicle environment condition effectiveness with respect to engine operation information are guaranteed such that a controller (10) may perform a condition application re-learning control by which the location learning is performed. Therefore, the side effects of field learning which cause deviation in a learning value are prevented. In addition, the cause of a problem can be clearly identified by means of generation of a learning inability code for each situation. Consequently, costs required for a service can be reduced and unexpected side effects can be prevented such that vehicle stability is secured.
