New Uses of Saponin and Methods for Isolation thereof

The present invention relates to a novel use of saponins comprising an acetyl moiety in one of the sugar moieties. These saponins can improve transfection efficiency to a surprisingly significantly higher level than known saponins and lipofectamin.
