The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for determining if a pressure difference exists between the inside and outside of a wrapped and sealed bundle of tobacco industry products. The wrapped and sealed bundle has a barrier layer that deflects when a pressure difference is applied, and the device includes a sensor operable to detect the deflection.
