The present invention relates to an anti-inflammatory composition containing miquelianin or a lotus leaf extract containing the same as an active component. According to the present invention, miquelianin or the lotus leaf extract has antioxidant activity to remove intracellular active oxygen and radicals, and has anti-inflammation activity to inhibit NO production of macrophages and to inhibit iNOS and COX-2 expression.
