Disclosed are a technology for authentication and key establishment protocol using a digital seal in an Internet of things (IoT) environment. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an authentication method using a digital seal comprises the steps of: registering a device based on a hash-based message authentication code of the device obtained through the digital seal at a gateway; and as the key is generated at the gateway, setting a session key based on a result of comparing the key generated at the gateway and a key generated at the registered device, and sharing the set session key between the registered device and the gateway.
