Disclosed are a high-strength and high-formability aluminum alloy sheet for strip casting and a manufacturing method thereof. In one embodiment, a method for manufacturing an aluminum alloy sheet comprises the steps of: manufacturing a semi-finished product by using molten metal containing 0.16 to 0.24 wt% of chromium (Cr), 0.2 to 0.4 wt% of copper (Cu), 0.1 to 0.2 wt% of manganese (Mn), 0.2 to 1.0 wt% of magnesium (Mg), 0.25 to 0.45 wt% of zinc (Zn), 0.3 to 1.5 wt% of silicon (Si), 0.1 to 0.3 wt% of titanium (Ti), 0.1 to 0.2 wt% of cerium (Ce), and the remainder of aluminum (Al) and inevitable impurities; hot-rolling the semi-finished product at a temperature of 480 to 540C to manufacture a hot-rolled sheet; cold-rolling the hot-rolled sheet to manufacture a cold-rolled sheet; and thermally treating the cold-rolled sheet at a temperature of 480 to 540C.
