Disclosed are an iceberg suction system for a ship for polar regions and a method of using suctioned icebergs. In the present invention, an ice sea chest provided on a lower portion of a hull to be openable and closable is opened so that ice pieces accumulated on the bottom part of a bow are introduced. And, the ice pieces can be used as living water required in the ship by being purified after being heated to be melted into the water. The present invention removes the ice pieces accumulated on the bow bottom part, thereby decreasing hull resistance. In addition, the ice pieces suctioned in the hull is used as the living water so that operation efficiency can be improved.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
