The present invention relates to a system for checking the state of a guide dog, capable of informing a visually-impaired person of the correct state of the guide dog. According to the present invention, the system comprises: a harness body worn by the guide dog; a portable terminal held by the visually-impaired person; and a server analyzing the state of the guide dog. An acceleration sensor and a gyro sensor are installed in the harness body. Measurement values of the acceleration and gyro sensors installed in the harness are transmitted to the portable terminal and the portable terminal transmits the received measurement values of the acceleration and gyro sensors to the server. The server analyzes the received measurement values of the acceleration and gyro sensors to estimate the state of the guide dog and transmits a state estimation result to the portable terminal. The portable terminal outputs the state estimation result of the guide dog received from the server through voice.
